DAGMAR BILI When did you first meet Burda Magazine?
SERGE KAZHFINGER About 20 years ago, I was just starting to work on my own brand PAULE KA, and your magazine attracted my attention.
DAGMAR BILI Wearing your dresses, women feel elegant and beautiful. Like in the little black dress that you quote often. It can be seen that you generally draw inspiration from the 60s.
SERGE KAZHFINGER It is rather geometric shapes. The curves of the female body attract me, so I always try to make the lines smooth. But the patterns should be clear, then nothing will bring.
DAGMAR BILI What about the material?
SERGE KAZHFINGER Everything is interconnected here: fabrics and cut. Women love PAULE KA because when they wear these clothes they feel they are in good shape.
DAGMAR BILI What's the secret?
SERGE KAZHFINGER In structure. They feel strong, restrained and at the same time sexy. Easy sexuality, without busting. Everything is very subtle and delicate. One client told me that she always puts on one of my dresses for important business negotiations and succeeds. This dress is a winner because the woman looks seductive and impregnable.
DAGMAR BILI How do you usually start - with a uniform or with a fabric?
SERGE KAZHFINGER This is a whole: you see that the thing is attractive, you take it - and it is pleasant to the touch,then you put it on and you feel great. For all this to coincide, women are willing to pay good money.
DAGMAR BILI How do you predict the desires of women?
SERGE KAZHFINGER Unlike them, I can’t put on my dresses myself, but fitting for me is of great importance. I feel how the model feels, is the dress too voluminous ...
DAGMAR BILI You do not want women to appear large and fat?
SERGE KAZHFINGER They themselves do not want this. Three or four times a day I go to the store to watch our customers: what they need, why they don’t like something. Our task is to realize their dreams. A woman wants to be content, beautiful and always win.
DAGMAR BILI This seems to be the case everywhere. You grew up in Brazil, working in France. Which country is closer to you?
SERGE KAZHFINGER My style is very French, and this is his success. You have no idea how many women want to feel like Parisians. This is the style of Jackie O. and Audrey Hepburn, who were not French, but became the embodiment of the French spirit.
DAGMAR BILI And where is the Brazilian?
SERGE KAZHFINGER In this country, I learned sensuality and femininity. They know how to enjoy life. Gisela Bundchen for me is an example of the best woman. She is fantastic!

Behind this brand stands Serge Kajfinger. He was born in1955 in the city of Lille, France. Soon the family moved to Brazil. 1968 Return to France. 1970 Window dressing for boutiques in Lille, main customer is Yves Saint Laurent. 1974 With the support of her mother and her sister Paula Serge Kajfinger opens a multi-brand women's clothing store PAULEKA in Lille. The name is formed from the name of the aunt and the first letters of the last name of Serge. 1983 Without a special education, Kazhfinger creates his first models of women's dresses. 1987 Moving to Paris and establishing the PAULE KA luxury brand. 1998 Start creating your own accessories for the collection. 2007 The opening of the flagship store in Paris. 2010 A collection of evening dresses for Kate Middleton, Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez. 2012 Opening of the PAULE KA boutique in Frankfurt, Germany.
