Clutch envelope: an extravagant accessory do it yourself

To amaze others with ingenuity is not difficult. Simple materials, simple tricks - and the original clutch is already in hand.

One pattern - three styles! Directly from the streets of the fashionable capitals of Europe! Inspired by these images, we created our own clutch variations.

Barbie

Bright metallic skin stickers - the more the better.

Romance

A masterpiece of oilcloth with large flowers.

Lace trend

An oilcloth tablecloth was also used here, but with an actual lace pattern.

How to make a clutch envelope

Step 1

Make a full-size paper template from the given sizes.

Step 2

Place the template on the material and circle the contours, marking the fold lines. Fold the blank as an envelope.

Step 3

Make holes at a distance of 1.5 cm from each other along the edges of the envelope using hole punching pliers. Set the button as a fastener.

Step 4

Pull the knitted braid 1 cm wide through the holes. Tie the ends of the straps with a knot and secure on the back of the clutch.

Tip: if you don’t want to carry the clutch in your hands, you can hang it on your shoulder. To do this, weave a handle from knitted braid and sew it to the upper corners.
