DIY bookmark from decorative felt

The bookmark for the book, especially so bright, will help you quickly find a page to continue reading ... And make it so easy and simple that children can cope even without the help of adults!

You will need:

Decorative felt 1 mm thick white, black, blue, red, yellow, green and gray
✽white elastic tape 8 mm wide (length depends on the height of the book)
Quick-drying textile glue
Scissors
Slim fabric marker
White cardboard
Needle and thread for sewing

Step 1

Move the motives of the boat and the waves to draw on the model of the size you need and cut out the patterns.

Step 2

Each fragment is attached to the base (substrate) of white felt. To do this, circle the patterns on a white felt, 1-2 mm from the edge, then cut.

Step 3

Cut out each part of the boat from felt of the corresponding color: the hull is made of yellow, red and green felt, the pipe is made of gray, supplemented with a blue stripe. Details on the case: red waterline and black portholes (photo 2).

Tip: you can change the colors of felt and add other details to the boat.

In a similar way to prepare the waves.

Step 4

On the white base in the center, put an elastic tape and stick it. Glue all the details of the boat over the tape.Step back a little and stick the waves.

Step 5

Wrap the tape around the book, pull and sew the ends together. Cut the excess ends of the tape.
