There are spots on your favorite thing that you can’t get rid of? Try to disguise them. For perfect camouflage use applique, embroidery or textile dye.

On thin fabrics such as silk, the applique will look hard, and for embroidery you need experience with delicate materials.

On the blouse, which became the subject of a real master class, I found spots on the back only after I sewed it. Where and how the spots appeared on the fabric, I was not able to find out.

Although the spots were not noticeable, I did not wear a blouse in this form. The solution to the problem came by itself. After one project, I still had textile paint, and I decided to take a chance - mask the stains with it.

Important!

► Textile paint used in this master class can only be used for fabrics with a natural composition.

► Before starting partial dyeing of the fabric, test the paint on a patch of the same fabric from which the product is sewn.

How to determine real silk or fake?

You will need:

• Paper;

• A simple pencil;

• Transparent cover for notebook;

• Plastic bag without labels;

• Ball pen;

• Small scissors;

• Cotton pads and cotton buds;

• Capacity for paint dilution;

• Paint for textiles

Step 1

According to the size of the spots / spots, find the appropriate outline drawing on the Internet.

Attach a sheet of paper to the computer screen and draw the outline of the picture.

For my project, I chose butterflies and a cat to support a print of fabric on the shelves of a blouse.

Step 2

Put a transparent cover from the notebook on a sheet of paper and transfer the contours of the drawing / drawings with a ballpoint pen.

Step 3

With small scissors, cut the pattern / s precisely along the contour.

Step 4

Cut the resulting common stencil into separate elements.

Step 5

Dilute the textile paint in a small container according to the instructions.

Step 6

On a flat surface (on the table), put a large bag, previously cutting it.

Step 7

Place the blouse face up on top of the bag. Spread the back so that all spots are clearly visible.

Step 8

Place a stencil on each spot in accordance with its size.

Step 9

Dip a cotton swab in the paint, let it soak well.

Then with this stick, abundantly paint the surface inside the stencil.

To move the stencil to another place, blot the surface well with a cotton pad and you can continue the staining procedure in another place.

Step 10

After painting all the stains, carefully remove the stencils and let the paint dry well, about 15 minutes.

Step 11

Pour warm water (not higher than 40 °) into the basin.

Dilute the detergent in it, which you always use to wash delicate items.

Put a blouse in the basin and twist it there by hand. The paint starts to fade, and the water changes color, it should be so.

Leave the blouse for 15-20 minutes.

Then rinse several times in clean, slightly warm water and, without squeezing, hang on a hanger.

When the blouse is dry, iron it.

So the silk is thin, white sheets are placed under the fabric so that the picture is better visible.

Done!
