A unique competition for young designers once again invites ambitious and talented to make themselves known to the world and together with Burda to create a fashion collection from scratch!
If you are a young gifted designer, you dream of creating your own collection and conquering the world of fashion, the Burda Fashion Start 2018 project is your chance to do this in the most creative and most fruitful atmosphere.
During the contest, participants will create a capsule collection of five images for the spring-summer 2019 season, fully or partially using Burda magazine patterns. We guarantee you a convenient workspace, all the necessary materials to bring your ideas to life, meetings with relevant experts, well, and in return we expect from you a lot of enthusiasm, a creative approach and, of course, a desire to win.
Burda Fashion Start 2018 is more than just a competition, it is a real reality show that in video format will show viewers the whole process of creating a collection, from concept to implementation, from sketch to catwalk show.
Burda Fashion Start 2018 is a real school from the world of fashion, which participants of last year's stages can clearly demonstrate! Last year, applications for the contest were sent by more than 300 people from all over the country, 20 got into the qualifying stage and only 11 of the best got a chance to showcase their collections.

How will the contest be held?
In July - August, participants will find a real creative marathon: you have to work on creating a collection under the gun of cameras and with the support of experienced mentors - successful designers, brand owners and experts in the fashion industry.
The project will be supported by the brands: ECCO and Scarlett Top Style. Each participant is provided with Italian fabrics from the Tessutidea store, Fiskars scissors, Royal Dress Forms mannequins, as well as a workspace equipped with professional equipment, at Grasser School.
During the work, the contestants have to cope with additional tasks, after each of which one participant, alas, goes home. Well, in the end, the top five designers will present their collections at the final show on August 30!
Mandatory conditions
1. Throughout the competition you must be in Moscow.
2. You must be able to sew and design, otherwise you will not be able to complete the competitive tasks.
3. Carefully fill out the questionnaire and take a cool video card about yourself.
