For light diapers, thin but soft cotton fabrics, such as chintz, are used. A cotton bike is great for warm ones. Always buy a meter with a margin. Sanforize fabric is optional. I made diapers of the same size - 90x100 cm: we cut the diapers and wrap them with a wide and frequent overcast seam with cotton threads.
Gauze diapers I made it multilayer, following the example of German diapers from gauze.
We take gauze, put it into three additions, ironing each layer well so that it lies flat, without distortions and folds. Then cut a square of 70x70 cm and overcast all three layers together. I had at least 10 such diapers. They are especially relevant at home and in the heat so that the child is not constantly in the thick diaper.
